Iran: The Elite Snow Scene

Travis Beard

Under the cloak of an Islamic republic lives the elite "Tehrani's". Most Tehrani's live off the wealth of their parents and they comfortably commute from northern Tehran to the Alborz mountains in one hour for their weekend snow recreation. The mountain is a unofficial autonomous zone, where many Islamic codes imposed by the Iranian Government are over looked because the elite can pay for their freedom. Female Iranians wear tight fitting clothes (ski suits) and let their manicured hair hang out. While waiting in line for the ski lift they interact openly with boys.
